Binary Ninja Sidekick

Reasons for a Service-Based Product

At Vector35, we understand the importance of transparency and privacy for our users.

Sidekick is a local Binary Ninja plugin. It runs in your Binary Ninja installation and stores all analysis data — notebooks, indexes, code maps, and the transaction log — on your machine. What the cloud component provides is AI model access: Sidekick sends the minimum context needed to fulfill a request (decompiled code fragments, query strings, and similar analysis inputs) to the Sidekick service, which runs inference and returns results.

We use a combination of privately trained models, fine-tuned models, and third-party AI providers. Engineering factors — model updates, hardware requirements, and accumulated knowledge that goes beyond any single binary — make it practical to provide AI capabilities as a service rather than bundling them locally.

We do not use information from your binaries to build or refine our system without your consent, as described in our terms of service. Our data privacy policy outlines what is collected, stored, used, and retained by the cloud service when you use the plugin.

We want to thank you for your continued support and hope that Sidekick gives a significant boost to your reverse-engineering work. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at sidekick@vector35.com.
